UK Prime Ministers: Titles
Up until the end of the 19th century, the majority of Britain's Prime Ministers were members of the aristocracy,
and the House of Lords. It's not unheard of to be given the name of one of these Prime Ministers and asked for his title.
This table does not include those whose titles included their surnames: Lord (Frederick) North,
Baron (William) Grenville, Earl (Charles) Grey, and Lord (John) Russell.
