Spelling

I resisted having a Spelling category for many years; I suspected that there may be too many potential words to make it worthwhile (because you can never hope to get a list that's anywhere near complete).  Also, in a Quiz League format (where, if one team gives the wrong answer, it's passed over to the other team for a bonus) they don't work so well because often there are rarely more than two or three possible answers.

But spelling questions are always popular (it was one of the eight first-round categories in Bullseye, after all) and it happens to be a favourite subject of mine personally.
